Robina Baker kicked off our week with a PJ and pancake breakfast in celebration of Education Week! On Wednesday, staff and students supported Wellness day by wearing our finest hats. Hats on for mental wellness!

This week we continued on with our spring theme. We learned about various spring critters and did other spring time activities!

Spiral Snail Art!
Did you know snails cannot see very well? They just see light and dark! Students worked hard using their fine motor skills to add beads to their snail's shell! How beautiful!
Lady Bugs!
Ladybugs are also another spring time favourite. Students coloured ladybug finger puppets and then used them to help sing a ladybug song.

Our Grass is Growing!
Our grass is doing quite well! We might need to bring a lawnmower in!
Beans Beans Beans!
This week we also planted green beans! We soaked our beans in wet cotton balls and hung them in our window to catch some sun!

So much fun at the puppet FOP. Cindy House from The Puppetry House entertained us with her puppetry skills and let us play with them as well!

Coming Up:
We are so excited to head into our Zoo theme next week! Here are some important upcoming dates:
- May 8th and 9th class photo day
- May 17th - Edmonton Valley Zoo Field Trip
- Permission slips are now available through your PowerSchool account until May 10th.
- Parents are welcome to join, however they are required to pay their own entrance fee. Our guided tour only allows for a specific amount of participants, therefore if siblings are coming to the Zoo, parents must tour the Zoo on their own.
- May 21st - No School - Victoria Day
Swimming Dates:
Our classes will be heading over to the Devon Pool over a few weeks. Please look below to see which days your child will be attending. We are asking for students to come to school wearing their swimwear on their assigned days. We would appreciate as many parent volunteers in the water as possible.
